„W abstrakcyjnych kompozycjach malarskich Buczkowskiej toczy się gra płaskich organicznych form, w których próbujemy odnaleźć pejzaż czy przedstawienie. Po chwili jednak uwaga przenosi się na to, co początkowo wydawało się tłem. Nieopracowane powierzchnie, plamy matowej bieli to puste przestrzenie, które stają się istotą kompozycji.”

„Between”
a series of painterly works / 2018-2020
„New solutions appear in those pieces: a figure, merely implied by several lines and white, apparently untouched and unworked fields. The artist distances herself from the medium as such. She plays with it, utilizing painterly devices in what is a figurative fashion. The graphical gesture of the brush is counterpoised by the areas of white canvas, which the artist treats as an element of the composition. As she refrains from filling the pictorial field, she gives a place to emptiness and endows it with significance, enhancing the intrinsic value of absence and intermediate states.”
